Rishabhadeva, the first Tirath- ankara, was the founder of Jainism.
The credit for the proper organisation and development, however, goes
to Vardhamana Maharvira, who was the 24th and last Tirathankara.
Parsva- natha was the 23rd Tirathankara of the Jainism.

Principles of Mahavira Swami
The first sermon was delivered by Mahavira Swami on the hills of
Vipulachal near Rajagriha. Jainism has the similarity with the
'Sankhya Dharma'. Mahavira presented tne revised version of the views
of Parsva Nath. 'Brahmacharya' was added by Mahavira to the cardinal
principles of Parsva Nath.
