APPSC Group 1 Exam Eligibility Details & Salary, Pay scale of Group 1 Posts

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission – APPSC conducts Group – 1 exam for the posts of various vacancies in various A.P State Government departments. Degree pass is the minimum educational qualification. APPSC Group – 1 exam eligibility details given below.

1.Nationality: A Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

2. Age: For all the Posts in Group – 1 Notification Candidate’s age limit details given below.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelors Degree from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or  under  Central  Act,  Provincial  Act,  a  StatAct  or  an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification.

A Bachelors Degree in B.E. (Fire), provided that if BE (Fire) candidates are not available Candidates with the degree in any discipline will be considered.

(i)  A Bachelors Degree from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an
Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification.
(ii)  Preference shall be given to persons possessing a degree in Sociology
or Social Work.

A Degree in Commerce OR Economics OR Mathematics of a University
recognized by the U.G.C. with at least Second class in the subject OR  CA of the UK or India or an Incorporated Accountant (London)
The Candidate’s Upper age limit relaxations details given below

i) 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST and BCs Candidate’s.


ii) 10 years age relaxation for Physically Handicapped (PH) Candidates.


iii) 3 years age relaxation for Ex-Service men (3 years & length of service rendered in the armed forces).


iv) 3 years age relaxation for N.C.C (who have worked as Instructor in N.C.C) – 3 Years & length of service rendered in the N.C.C.


v) 5 years age relaxation for A.P. State Government Employees (Employees of APSEB, APSRTC, Corporations, Municipalities etc. are not eligible) – 5 Years maximum based on the length of regular service.


vi) 3 years age relaxation for Retrenched temporary employees in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months.


3. Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University.


4. Physical standards: Candidates must be physically fit and medically according to the physical standards of the APPSC examination.


Below 32 years in the case of persons holding a Post Graduate or higher Degree in Horticulture such as M.Sc. (Horticulture) or Ph.D. in Horticulture.


Note:


(i) No maximum age limit for SCs, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs (Other than BCCs & BCMs), BCCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all castes.


(ii) Age relaxation of 5 years will be applicable to persons affected by the ban orders as per the orders


(iii) Candidates not belonging to SCs, STs, MBC/DCs, BCs (Other than BCCs & BCMs), BCCs and BCMs (i.e. others) who have put in five years of service in the State/Central Government are not eligible to apply even though they are within the age limit.

  1. Hello sir, I am working in Indian Navy, retiring in 2018, at the age of34 years with15 years service:-
    Q1. What is my minimum educational qualification?
    Q2. Is graduation certificate given by Indian Navy is valid?
    Q3. What about those retiring at the age of 40&45 years?
    Q4. Is there any reservation in any post, specifically for the police department?
    Q5. Where will I get all the data regarding ex-service man reservations in government of Andhra Pradesh?
