What are Winds?
Air flows from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure. Horizontal
movement of the air is called wind. It is nature's attempt to balance
inequalities in air pressure. The vertical or nearly vertical movement of air
is referred to as air current. Winds and air currents manage a system of
circulation in the atmosphere.
